From the plant kingdom comes the beautiful and delicious world of fruit. Because of their wonderful sweet flavors, vivid colors, and sensual textures, fruits are considered the “gifts of the Gods”. Fruits are rich in water-soluble vitamins, enzymes, antioxidants, and some fruits are even high in essentials fatty acids and proteins.

Watermelon Lime Smoothie

Fill a blender half full with cut-up watermelon. Add a few ice cubes, the juice of 2 limes, a little natural sweetener, add water to the top, and blend for 30 seconds. This delicious, easy-to-make, healthy drink is very refreshing and nutritious. 

Spicy Kiwi Salsa

Chop 4 kiwis, 1 orange, 1/2 cup of fresh pineapple, a dash of red chili flakes, 5 tablespoons of finely chopped cilantro, and 1/4 cup of finely chopped red onion, then combine. This salsa is a bright, fresh accompaniment for chicken and fish.
